PURPOSE:To always provide the desired water supply characteristic, by enabling various data, required for a water supply system as its specification of the piping resistance characteristic or the like, to be optionally input by a data setting means which can be easily controlled from the outside. CONSTITUTION:A control device 8 of a pump provides a data setting device 9, and a microcomputer MCON reads from its input/output ports PIO-3-PIO-5 the various data, required as specification of the pump, to be stored in a memory ME. An electromagnetic switch MC is excited, and the microcomputer MCON generates a speed instruction signal, suitable for a demanded amount of water, to a speed input terminal of an inverter INV through the input/output port PIO-1. Accordingly, the pump can easily correspond to even a change of the piping resistance characteristic in setting a water supply system.
