PURPOSE:To effectively absorb the vibrations caused to a disk drive unit by using a 2nd shock absorber which acts directly or indirectly on the disk drive unit to support this unit and absorb the vibrations caused to the drive unit. CONSTITUTION:A recess part 27 is formed at a part of a cabinet main body 21 set at the side face side of a unit 23 and has a screw hole 28. A screw member 29 forming a 2nd shock absorber can be screwed into the hole 28. The member 29 contains a boss part 30, a screw part 31, a flange part 32 and a head part 33. A cylindrical elastic matter 34 is fitted at the part 30. When the unit 23 is used in a vertical position, the part 31 of the member 29 is screwed into the hole 28. Thus the matter 34 fitted at the part 30 of the member 29 serving as the 2nd shock absorber has a contact with the unit 23. In such a constitution, the unit 23 is supported satisfactorily by the matter 34 and a 1st shock absorber 24. Thus the vibrations are surely absorbed against the unit 23.
