PURPOSE:To give an uniform pressurizing force on the bending line of a work piece and to perform the bending of high accuracy by forming a punch or die in a split structure and making at least one of the splitted dies free adjustable at its pressurizing force by an electricity, pressure converting element. CONSTITUTION:A work piece is descended to the position just before the bending completion in the state of the work piece being placed on a die 11 by a ram 9 to servolock a servovalve. The specified voltage is given to each ceramic actuator 17 to give a pressurizing force on the whole face of the work piece. At this time each punch 13 performs a microaction on the part where the pressure is short until each pressure detector detects the specified force. The work piece is thus received an uniform pressurizing force on the whole length of the bending line and bent with high accuracy between the die 11 and punch 13. Since the ceramic actuator 17 can control purely electronically the composition of the control device is simple and the control of high accuracy can be performed.
