PURPOSE:To permit easy claning of the material sticking to screw vanes and to prevent co-rotation of the material with a dehydrating device for fish meat by providing said device with an upper aperture having, an easily removable cap. CONSTITUTION:A spring 11 rises and the fish meat passes the underside of the cap 10 and emerges from above a frame plate 17 when the fish meat enters the screw press at each rate slightly larger than the prescribed rate. There is no material to enter a channel 16 and, therefore, the cap 10 of the channel is lowered by the pressure of the spring 11 to press the fish meat entered between screw vanes 3 and 3' when the prescribed amt. or below of the fish meat flows into a funnel 1. The dehydration rate of the fish meat is thus maintained constant. The fish meat moves toward an outlet while the fish meat is compressed between the vanes 3 and 3' when the prescribed amt. of the fish meat flows exactly into the funnel 1. The fish meat is thereby dehydrated to adequate hardness and is extruded from the outlet of the vanes without generating corotation. The spring 11 is removed upon ending of the dehydration operation and the cap 10 is removed by lifting the upper part of the frame plate 17 at the end of the cap 10, then the screw vanes are well visible and, therefore, the cleaning thereof is simple. |
