PURPOSE:To obtain a herbicide composition exhibiting high herbicidal effect at a low rate of application by synergistic action and having broad herbicidal spectrum, by using an N-substituted-haloacetamide compound and pyrimidine derivative as active components. CONSTITUTION:The objective composition contains (A) a compound of formula I [X is H, halogen, alkyl, alkoxy or phenoxy; R<1> and R<2> are H or alkyl; R<3> is alkyl, alkenyl, alkoxyalkyl, alkenyloxyalkyl or (substituted)phenyl; Y is Cl or Br] and (B) a compound of formula II (R is alkyl or cycloalkyl; X is CO or SO2; M is H or alkali metal; A is trimethylene, tetramethylene or butadienylene). The amount of the component B is 0.01-200pts.wt., preferably 0.1-100pts.wt. per 1pt.wt. of the component A.
