PURPOSE:To provide an excellent ground surface, by providing a control means which computes a cutting backward movement amount during shifting of rough finish grinding to finish grinding by deducting the set values of a rough finish grinding speed and a finish grinding speed and controls a cutting feed means based on the computing result. CONSTITUTION:A cutting backward movement amount computing circuit 9 computes a difference between a rough finish grinding speed and a finish grinding speed, set by a cutting feed speed set circuit 8, during shifting of rough finish grinding to finish grinding. By referring the computing value to a prestored map, an optimum cutting backward movement amount is decided by means of the computing circuit 9. Thereafter, a signal S3 indicating the cutting backward movement amount is inputted to a cutting control circuit 7, and by cutting backward movement of the cutting feed device 6 for the workpiece 6 from a grinding stone 1 by a distance responding to the signal S3, the workpiece M surface, ground by a grinding stone 1, is finished in an excellent state. |
