PURPOSE:To improve recording and reproducing efficiency by forming either of an upper magnetic layer and lower magnetic layer of a crystalline Fe alloy film and forming the upper or lower layer or both the upper and lower layers of the crystalline Fe alloy film of a metallic or alloy film except Fe. CONSTITUTION:The upper magnetic pole 1 and lower magnetic pole 2 of a magnetic head are respectively formed of an Fe alloy which is a high saturation magnetic flux density material. The upper or lower layer of the alloy or both said layers are formed of the metal or alloy. The metal or alloy films provided to the upper magnetic pole 1 and lower magnetic pole 2 of this embodiment are formed to avoid the direct contact of the crystalline Fe alloy film with a polyimide resin layer (PIQ) which is an insulating layer or SiO, Al2O3, etc. forming a gap layer. Said films have the effect of preventing the reaction of the PIQ and Fe alloy in a high-temp. process and the exfoliation of the SiO2, Al2O3, etc., formed on the Fe alloy. The recording and reproducing efficiency are thereby improved. |
