PURPOSE:To obtain uniform internal quality of crystal grains, etc., in a shorter cycle time by pressing a capsule in which a compressible material heated to a prescribed working temp. is enclosed by a pressure medium in a pressing vessel contg. the pressure medium while maintaining the temp. CONSTITUTION:The pressure medium 3 in the pressing vessel 1 constituted of a lining 1-1, a strength member 1-2, a heater 1-3 and a resistance heating element 1-4 for heating is heated at the temp. suitable for the temp. thereof. A structural body consisting of the capsule 4 contg. the compressing material 6 in the pressure medium 5 is heated to the working temp. The heating temp. of the structural body is increased to generate the highest possible temp. difference from the temp. of the pressure medium 3. The heated structural body is then immersed into the pressure medium 3 of the pressing vessel and a punch 3 is immediately lowered to exert an isotropic pressure to the structural body. As a result, the molding having about 100% density is obtd. and the uniform intra-surface quality of the crystal grains, etc., is obtd.
