Checking position of dam wall plates - generating magnetic field by solenoid to check deviation indicated by lamp in electric circuit revealing interruptions

A measuring device reveals position deviation. Deviations are registered by a magnetic field with lines of flux penetrating the profiled edges. The field is generated by a solenoid controlling an electric circuit with an indicator lamp for example. This emits a signal when the field is interrupted. The solenoid is placed at the bottom of theprofiled edge of the plate to be introduced and guided into position by an existing profiled edge. A swtich is also located at the bottom to couple an electric source and the indicator forming part of the electrical circuit.
