PURPOSE:To maintain the normal sealing effect of a tip seal by increasing the width of each tip seal groove on the winding starting part of each spiral bodies which form fixed and revolving scrolls to a specified size which can reduce the moving rsistance of each of said tip seals. CONSTITUTION:Fixed and revolving scrolls 2, 3 are oppositely provided on the upper part in an enclosed casing 1, and the scrolls 2, 3 are formed with end plates 21, 31 and spiral bodies 22, 32. Grooves 10, 11 are provided on the end faces of the spiral bodies 22, 32 and tip seas 12, 13 are fitted in the grooves 10, 11, respectively. In this structure, the width (n) of each groove 10, 11 on the winding starting parts 22a, 32a of the spiral bodies 22, 32 is increased to such a dimension that moving resistance of each tip seal 12, 13 in the depth direction of each groove 10, 11 on the winding starting pairs 22a, 32a can be reduced with respect to the width of each tip seal 12, 13, at the time of revolving the movable scroll 3. |
