PURPOSE:To reduce power consumption by separately turning on/off a power source circuit for audio and a power source circuit for video, and stopping the supply of a power source to a video system circuit at the time of reproducing an audio signal. CONSTITUTION:Composite video signals from a video disk, a VTR and a 8 mm VTR are respectively inputted to input terminals 71, 72 and 73, and supplied to a source switching circuit 66. And the audio signals from the video disk, the VTR and the 8 mm VTR are respectively supplied to the input terminals 74, 75 and 76 and reproduced audio signals from an audio tuner, a cassette tape recorder and a CD player are supplied to the input terminals 77, 78 and 79. The audio signals are supplied to the source switching circuit 80 and the audio signals selected in the circuit 80 are supplied to an audio output circuit 60 through a tone quality and sound volume control circuit 59. At this time, the supply of the power source to the circuit of video system is stopped in case of reproducing only audio signals.
