PURPOSE:To make it possible to improve absorbability, cook rice in a manner similar to that for polished rice and obtain tasty cooked rice without impairing nutriments contained in unpolished rice or flavor, by providing many cuts by cutting blades on almost all the periphery of pericarp. CONSTITUTION:This processed unpolished rice has many cuts 3 formed by cutting blades on almost all the periphery of pericarp 2. The cuts 3 preferably have a depth so as to pass majority thereof through the layer of the pericarp 2 and many cuts are preferably formed on all the region of the pericarp 2 not in one direction but in irregular directions or at random. |
