PURPOSE:To make even an object constituted of vertical and horizontal lines easy to confirm, by arranging a unidimensional sensor in the plane substantially crossing the center axis of a line of vision at a right angle so as to have an angle of inclination with respect to a vertical plane. CONSTITUTION:A visual sensation sensor is provided above a moving body 8 and the picked-up image thereof is formed on a light receiving surface 2 by a lens 3. The light receiving surface 2 is substantially vertical to the center axis 4 of a line of vision and an unidimensional light receiving sensor 1 is arranged so as to have an angle 5 of inclination to the vertical plane 6 containing the line of vision within the light receiving surface 2. When the moving body 8 moves along a moving surface 9, the images of the horizontal and vertical line elements of the moving surface 9 traverse the unidimensional light receiving sensor 1 constituting the visual sensation sensor at the angle of about 60-30 deg. corresponding to the angle 5 of inclination and can be accurately grasped. Therefore, the object on a rod can be detected without being overlooked.
