PURPOSE:To improve the propulsion efficiency by making the structure of a rudder into a plural rudder plate structure arranged in radial form around the extension of a propeller axis center and setting the attack angle of the rudder plate so that the component in the longitudinal direction of the hull of the lift generated in the revolution slip stream of the propeller on each rudder plate acts in the advancing direction. CONSTITUTION:The partial bearing lift of each rudder plate 6 which is necessary for steering faculty can be reduced markedly in comparison with the conventional single-plate type, since a pluraliry of rudder plates 6 are installed, and the aspect ratio of each rudder plate 6 can be increased markedly, and the lift coefficient can be increased markedly, and the lift per unit area can be increased markedly. Therefore, the rudder area can be reduced, and the resistance of the whole rudder plate can be reduced. Further, since each rudder plate 6 is arranged radially with an attach angle into the revolution slip stream of a propeller 2, a large lift is generated on each rudder plate 6 by the revolution slip stream of the propeller, and the component in the longitudinal direction of the full of the lift generated on the rudder plate 6 is directed in the advancing direction, and the lift acts as the propulsion force for the hull.
