PURPOSE:To avoid the mixing of a lengthy status signal from an information system and a high speed signal by connecting a plurality of multiplex transmission devices at each part of a vehicle via the combination of ring type and star type. CONSTITUTION:Multiplex transmission devices 2a and 2b arranged at the front part of a vehicle 1 and related to the control of a head lamp, a brake, and engine and the like, multiplex transmission devices 2c and 2d arranged at the rear part and related to the control of a stop lamp, the brake and the like and multiplex transmission devices 2e and 2f for the control of fittings around a driver's seat are connected to a multiplex transmission device 2g as a central control unit 4 in a ring form, via an optical fiber transmission line A, thereby constituting a ring type network 3. Also, the multiplex transmission device 2g has display devices 5a and 5b and an information control switch 5c connected in a star form, thereby forming a star type network 6. According to the aforesaid constitution, a lengthy status signal from an informtion system and a high speed control signal are not mixed and optimum signal transmission can be made.
