PURPOSE:To manufacture the resin molded form of marble tone, in which swelling or the like will never be generated, without damaging a press mold, by a method wherein theremosetting resin is mixed with glass powder coated with the thermosetting resin while the mixture is molded by compression molding. CONSTITUTION:Glass powder is processed by coupling agent. Subsequently, the glass powder is mixed with unsaturated polyester resin and the mixture is pulverized while curing the resin. Next, the glass powder, coated with the unsatutated polyester resin, is mixed into thermosetting resin (unsaturated polyester resin, epoxy resin or the like) while the mixture is heated and aged to obtain a bulky intermediate body having plasticity. A work, made by cutting the intermediate body, is set in a compression mold to mold it by compression. According to this method, a molded form, having the feeling of transparency as well as the tone of marble, may be obtained. |
