PURPOSE:To stabilize the triboelectrification property of a toner for a long period of time by incorporating a carrier having a coating layer consisting of resin, toner contg. a quaternary ammonium salt compd. and fine inorg. particles to be electrostatically charged positive into a developer. CONSTITUTION:The carrier formed by coating magnetic material particles with the resin (e.g.: fluoroplastic), the toner formed by incorporating the quaternary ammonium salt (e.g.: tetrapentyl ammonium chloride) into a binder and the fine inorg. particles to be electrostatically charged positive by friction with the carrier are incorporated into the developer. The negative electrostatic latent image formed on the surface of a photosensitive body 1 consisting of an org. photoconductive semiconductor is developed by a contact type magnetic brush development method using the above-mentioned developer 22. Then, the positive triboelectrified charge can be surely imparted to the toner and, therefore, the images having a high image density without having fogging are stably obtd. even in high-humidity environment. |
