PURPOSE:To overlap respective operations and to speed up the operations with simple constitution by controlling the operation timing of an image forming device and an original conveying device. CONSTITUTION:When an exit sensor 13 detects a sheet original 2 conveyed from an entrance tray 1, a motor 19 is reversed to send a belt 7 backward. Then clock pulses synchronized with the rotation of the motor 19 begin to be counted when the original 2 exits from the sensor 13 and the lamp 103 of an optical system is turned on. An optical system motor 115 is started thereafter according to the number of clock pulses and then the original 2 is stopped for exposure. In this constitution, timing corresponding to a copy mode is determined so that the optical system reaches the image front end of the original when the original 2 stops at a stop position. Consequently, a stable copy is taken and the processing time is shortened to speed up the processing. |
