The method is for printing on a surface which is lead under a rotating printing roller. The surface is sucked clean shortly before the roller reaches it. The sheets of material to be printed are supplied to the gap between the image printing roller and the counter pressure roller by feeder rollers. The image roller is inked with the picture. The suction between the feeder rollers and the image forms a narrow zone transverse to the direction of movements of the plates. The ink is water based and the rollers are inked by a riubber roller aided by a screen roller also in contact with the image roller.
