PURPOSE:To obtain a cross flow fan having a long overall length, which is excellent in strength, and whose diameter can be easily changed by integrally forming plural blades and one band which crosses at a right angle to said blades in a blind form and inserting this formed body into the slits of partition plates. CONSTITUTION:Plural blades 1 which are arranged in parallel are installed to a band 2 at a defined installation angle R and a defined pitch P to form a formed body. And, the band 2 is rolled up into a ring form and a ring 5 is installed on the band 2 part while installing partition plates 3, 4 on both ends of the blades 1, to form the formed body into a fan shape. In this case, a pair of moving insert dies 7, 8, gates 9, and cavities 11, 12, etc., for forming the band 2, and blades 1 are provided in a metal mold for molding. And, at the time of forming a fan having a different diameter, a part of the gates are blocked by pieces 10 shortening the overall length to reduce the number of blades.
