PURPOSE:To correct the distortion of an image due to the arranging place of an image pickup means and to obtain a desired image, by obtaining a corrected image by applying an appropriate image processing on an image- picked up image, and outputting and recording the corrected image. CONSTITUTION:When a blackboard 1 is image-picked up with the image pickup means 2 in an oblique direction, the image-picked up image is distorted in a trapezoidal shape. By applying a geometric correction processing on the image with an image processing means 4, the image without the distortion can be obtained. Also, when the image is image-picked up in a state where the image pickup means 2 is separated from a typical display object 1 by a large distance, the image-picked up image is formed in a small shape, however, even in such case, the image can be magnified and recorded to the image with a large size same as in a case where the image is image-picked up nearby by applying affine(false) transformation on the image with the image processing means 4.
