PURPOSE:To conduct a manual cutting action to set recording sheets in a short time, by providing a control means manually cutting the leading ends of the two or more set recording sheets at a time. CONSTITUTION:In a manual cutting action, recording sheets 4, 5 set in a device are fed to a predetermined cut position through a recording portion 8 consisting of a platen roller 8a and a recording head 8b. Therefore, the recording sheets 4, 5 can be manually cut by a fixed cutting action with a cutter 9. In addition, if the friction coefficients of the recording sheets 4, 5, the recording portion 8, and the like are so set as to have a fixed relation at this time, the feed of the recording sheets in the manual cutting can be ensured.
