Three horizontal platform sections may be intercoupled. They may be raised or lowered on two vertical support masts. The platform construction includes two vertical support masts (1). Each mast has a carriage (2) which is movable in an upwards or downwards direction. Both carriages (2) serve to support platform (3) which is constructed of three platform sections (4-6). One section (5) is positioned between the carriages and is at both ends coupled to the carriages. The platform includes floor (7) and railings (8). Each carriage includes two electromotors providing a gear driven mechanism.
