PURPOSE:To improve comfortability and energy same performance, in a cooling system having a variable capacity compressor, by selecting a pressure control range based on a pressure variation rate and a setting variation rate during an interval when a setting pressure is achieved after start compressor. CONSTITUTION:A compressor 2 is operated with small capacity for a predetermined time after starting, then switched to operation with large capacity, and the refrigerant pressure is detected at several points at the outlet of an evaporator 6 by means of a pressure sensor 13 for a quite short time interval, e.g. 15-30 sec., upon elapse of a predetermined time after start of compressor 2 and inputted to a controller 8. The controller 8 obtains an arithmetic average of detected pressure and stores them. Upon elapse of another predetermined time, an average pressure is operated similarly so as to operate a variation rate with respect to previous average pressure. Said operation is repeated untill the pressure reaches to a setting level, then the variation rate immediately before reaching to the setting level is compared with a referential level so as to determine the pressure control range. The compressor 2 is controlled in said determined control range. Consequently, comfortability and save-energy performance can be improved. |
