PURPOSE:To produce a film for heat shrinkable package having excellent tensile strength with a large heat shrinkability by a method in which radical forming agent is added into a specified polyehylene, and after said forming agent has been decomposed and modified, inflation forming is carried out. CONSTITUTION:0.01-0.1 pts. wt. of radical forming agent (dicumil-peroxide, 2.5-dimethyl-2.5-dimethyl-2.5-di-t-buthl-peroxy hexane) is added to 100 pts. wt. of straight chain low density polyethylene having 0.915-0.935g/cm<3> density and melt index of at most 3.0g/10min, and the radical forming agent is decomposed by melting and kneading, thereby modifying the straight chain low density polyethylene. Then the material is extruded at molten state from an annular die, an the inflation forming by air cooling is achieved. Thus, the polyethylene film for heat shrinkable package is obtained. |
