PURPOSE:To record the history of the use of a telephone set, by connecting a managing device provided with the reader/writer of a CPU card to the telephone set, and writing a record at every use of the telephone set on a memory in the CPU card. CONSTITUTION:When a user raises the handset of the telephone set 1 and inserts the CPU card 10 to the reader/writer 25, the CPU card is fetched. Also, when the user dials, a dial signal is sent to a line, and also, the telephone number of an opponent is stored in a RAM21. When the line is connected to the opponent, the managing device 2 calculates a call tariff, and when the call is completed, it reads out the history data of the use such as the telephone number of the opponent, the call tariff, a date, and a time, etc., and writes them on the RAM of the CPU card 10.
