PURPOSE:To form plural images on an image carrier and to display the images selectively by providing a means which separates an image forming means from a photosensitive body at prescribed timing. CONSTITUTION:A developing device 10 which supplies visual particles to an electric latent image formed on a transparent insulating film 3 by an original 5 made of an opaque material and a cleaning means 18 are separated by solenoid 31 and 32 from the photosensitive body 1 by operating a selection button on a scanning panel unless an image is formed. In this state, the insulating film 4 is moved to position the image below a window 16 and the image is projected on a screen by an illumination lamp 14. Consequently, the image formed on the insulating film 3 is prevented from being disordered by the image forming means and plural images are formed on the insulating film 3 and displayed selectively.
