PURPOSE:To obtain the title polymer which has excellent moldability and is not colored, by adding a specified (thio)phosphite compd. and a thio ether antioxidant to a propylene polymer and melt-kneading the mixture. CONSTITUTION:0.01-1pt. (by weight; the same applies hereinbelow) phosphite compd. (A) of formula I (wherein R1 is H, a 1-3C alkyl or a group of formula II (wherein R4 is a group of formula III; R5 is an 8-18C alkyl); R2 and R3 are each a 1-8C alkyl) [e.g., 4,4'-butylidene-bis(3-methyl-6-t-butylphenyl)di- tridecyl phosphite], 0.01-1pt. thio ether antioxidant (B) (e.g., dimyristyl thiodipropionate) and 0.01-5pts. thiophosphite compd. (C) (e.g., trilauryl trithiophosphite) are added to 100pts. propylene polymer (D) contg. not less than 5ppm of Ti and not less than 0.5ppm of V as the catalyst residues (e.g., propylene homopolymer). The mixture is melt-kneaded at 250-350 deg.C. |
