PURPOSE:To attract a viewer's eye, and to give an unexpected sense to a viewer by providing the titled device so that the surfaces of an antiliquid crystal filling layer side of each substrate are both faced to an external space in a see-through state. CONSTITUTION:As for a display part 14, a liquid crystal filling layer 16 is formed between substrates 15A, 15B consisting of two pieces of transparent electric insulating materials (resin material, glass, etc.), respectively, and on the respective inside surfaces brought into contact with the liquid crystal filling layer 16 of both substrates 15A, 15B, transparent electrodes 17A, 17B for display, and transparent conductive parts 18A, 18B for supplying to the electrodes 17A, 17B are provided. In the state, by applying a voltage to the electrodes 17A, 17B, the display part 14 gives an electric field to a liquid crystal filled in the liquid crystal filling layer 16, and a prescribed display state is formed. That is to say, this display device 10 drives the liquid crystal between the transparent substrates 15A, 15B which can see through the reverse side, as well, therefore, there is no oppressive sensation, and also, it does not occur that the face of the other party is hidden, and a simple design having no troublesomeness can be produced.
