PURPOSE:To prevent information recorded in a recording medium from being broken down due to an adhesive phenomenon of a magnetic head and a disk, by providing a timer circuit for driving to rotate intermittently the first driving means, at the time of recording, reproducing and stopping the information to the recording medium. CONSTITUTION:In a body case 6, a control unit 9 such as a microcomputer, etc. provided with driving circuits 7, 8 for driving a disk motor 1 and a step motor 5, respectively, and a timer 10 for driving and stopping intermittently the disk motor 1 are provided. In this state, at the time of an initial state and a holding state that recording and reproduction of once have been ended, a disk 2 is driven to rotate intermittently by the timer 10, therefore, the generation of an adhesive phenomenon to the disk 2 of a magnetic head 4 can be prevented, and a breakdown of information recorded in the disk 2 can be prevented.
