PURPOSE:To permit easy discrimination of the time for exchanging an electrolyte to be packed into a cell of an oxygen electrode by constituting said cell of a transparent material and using an aq. potassium chloride soln. added with a pH indicator as the above-mentioned electrolyte. CONSTITUTION:The cell 1 is constituted by using the transparent material, for example, transparent acrylic resin so that the electrolyte 4 in said cell can be well seen therethrough. The aq. potassium chloride soln. added with the pH indicator is used as the electrolyte 4. Then, the pH value of the electrolyte 4 decreases when the liquid resistance thereof increases after repetition of many times of measurement and, therefore, the time for exchanging the electrolyte 4 is easily discriminated by observing the discoloration condition thereof through the cell 1. |
