A pessary, which is especially suitable for treatment of prolapse of female internal sexual organs, is formed as an annular element made up of a material or materials of a type such that the ring can be deformed manually into any predetermined shape, and so that the size of the circumference of the ring can be manually increased or reduced in a certain direction, following which the ring retains the latest given form and size of circumference. The ring 1 advantageously comprises a core 4, which is of spiral shape and of a non-elastic type, and an elastic material 5 located on the outside, surrounding the core 4. <IMAGE>
