<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a semiconductor laser device which can stably control its output by forming a monitor beam reflecting surface by a recess bent out of a cap. CONSTITUTION:A cap for protecting a semiconductor laser element 5 and a monitoring photodetector 6, etc. is formed on a circuit substrate 2, and a monitor beam reflecting surface 12 is formed therein. The photodetector 6 is formed by a recess bent out of the cap so that the expanding angle theta of a monitor beam (a) introduced to the photodetector 6 becomes theta=45 deg.. Accordingly, the condensed amount of the beam (a) introduced to the photodetector 6 can be increased to obtain sufficient photodetecting amount for controlling an output beam (b), thereby stably controlling an output.</p> |
