PURPOSE:To enhance working efficiency and safety, by forming a recessed groove crossing the running direction of paper at a right angle to a platen and providing an up-and-down movable pin for a perforation to a printing head so as to allow the same to be spaced apart from the printing pin of the printing head by a predetermined distance. CONSTITUTION:A recessed groove 3 crossing the running direction of paper 4 at a right angle is formed to a platen 2, and a pin 7 for a perforation up and down movable by a solenoid is provided to a printing head 1 so as to be spaced apart from the printing pins 6 of the printing head 1 by a predetermined distance. This pin 7 for the perforation is in a retracted state when the printing pins 6 perform usual printing through an ink ribbon 5, and protrudes when cutting is performed or the perforation 8 is formed to be inserted in the groove 3 formed to the platen 2. Therefore, when the moving quantity of the printing head 1 is reduced while the pin 7 for the perforation is moved up and down by the solenoid, the paper is cut off and, when the moving quantity of the printing head 1 is increased, the perforation 8 can be formed on the paper.
