In a device used with textile machines, with a master processor (1) and a subordinate processor (2; 3) allocated to each machine, the subordinate processors (2; 3) are connected via an information signal transmitting loop network to the main processor (1). To enable interference-free transmission of a large number of data signals between a multiplicity of machines which are physically distant from one another, each subordinate processor (2; 3) is allocated its own coupling card (20; 30) to convert optical signals into electric signals and vice versa. The coupling cards (20; 30) are connected to one another and to the master processor (1) via fibre-optic cables (7).
