<p>To support an article (6) during its passage through a spray coating plant, a plurality of support members (20) are provided, which are inserted each through a pair of holes or apertures (12) between the side walls (10) of the article, the support members (20) being of sufficient length as to enable the article (6) to be supported thereby between the reaches (16a and 16b) of a conveyor. Where it is desired to apply a coating of paint to the article in a manner which involves the creation of an electric field, conductive contact may be established with the article by means of the support members (20) and/or by the use of contacts which engage the article as it passes through the treatment plant. <IMAGE></p> |
