PURPOSE:To lap a workpiece in a highly accurate manner, by installing a guide bar, having the part held so as to become vertical to a lapping surface plate and also a bearing receiving the guide bar in the center, while installing a workpiece holding jig made slidable up and down along the guide bar. CONSTITUTION:Since a workpiece 21 is machined as the bearing installed in a workpiece holding jig 22 is moving along a guide bar 23, a lapping surface plate 25 and a workpiece holding surface are always paralleled with each other so that a highly accurate machining is performable. In addition, a tool is attached to a tip of the guide bar 23, and this guide bar 23 is moved in the radial direction of the lapping surface plate whereby plane compensation for the lapping surface plate 25 can be done on a lapping machine. And, in the state that the guide bar 23 is inserted into the bearing of the workpiece holding jig 22, load is imposed on the center of the workpiece holding jig 22 from the tip of the guide bar 23, so that highly efficient, highly accurate machining can be done. |
