PURPOSE:To make serial conversion of number reliably and to improve function as a number printer, by arranging a number conversion cam shaft rotatably near to the circumferential face of a number drum in parallel therewith, then rolling the cam shaft integrally with a cam lever so that the rolling end portion controls operation of a number converting member in a numbering device. CONSTITUTION:When a sheet is fed in preliminary printing, a number drum 5 is arranged for an impression cylinder 16 through a cam mechanism. Upon turning a solenoid 33 OFF, a stopper 30 is rotated by a tensile spring 38, and rotation of a rolling cam 22 causes contact of a large diameter section 22b thereof with a cam follower 20 so as to engage a stopping chip 30a with a projection 21a, thus limiting rotation of a cam lever 21, thereby number is not converted even if the numbering device is circulated. Upon turning the solenoid 33 ON after completion of color matching, an actuator 34 is attracted to provide a gap between the stopping chip 30a and the projection 21a, and a stopper 21 rotates and thereby number is converted from first one of a plurality of numbering devices preventing conversion of number from other numbering device. |
