PURPOSE:To prevent increase in pH of a surfactant-contg. soln. contg. a specific pH buffer by intrusion of a developing soln. therein by developing a lithographic printing plate, then processing the same with the above-mentioned soln. CONSTITUTION:The photosensitive lithographic printing plate is subjected to image exposure and development and is then processed with the surfactant (e.g.: dialkyl sulfosuccinate)-contg. soln. contg. an ethanol amine salt as the pH buffer. The above-mentioned amine salt is preferably mono-, di- or triethanol amine salts of acetic acid, oxalic acid and citric acid or the mixture composed thereof and the amt. of said acid to be added is preferably 0.05-5wt.% of the above-mentioned soln. Further, silanol-modified PVC is preferably incorporated into the above-mentioned soln. The increase in pH and generation of scum are thereby suppressed even if the alkaline developing soln. is carried over into said soln. |
