PURPOSE:To permit electric charge up to high potential without spoiling the photosensitivity of a photosensitive body by using a co-vapor deposited film consisting of two components; a phthalocyanine base pigment and insulating org. material for an electric charge generating layer. CONSTITUTION:An electric charge transfer layer 2 and the charge generating layer 3 are successively laminated on a conductive substrate 1 and the layer 3 consists of the co-vapor deposited film of the phthalocyanine pigment (A) and insulating org. material (B) formed by a vacuum deposition method. Aluminum chlorophthalocyanine (chloride) and titanyl phthalocyanine are usable for the above-mentioned component A and polytetrafluoroethylene, PE, and polystyrene are usable for the component B. The layer constitution can be adequately selected; the lamination of the layers 3, 2 in this order or the layers 2, 3, 2 in this order on the substrate and the provision of a surface protective layer 4 and an intermediate layer 5 on the surface are possible as well. |
