PURPOSE:To improve the castability of an Au-Ag-Cu alloy without impairing the gold color thereof by adding a specific ratio of Ge and at need specific ratios of Fe, Cr and Co to said alloy. CONSTITUTION:0.05-2wt.% Ge is added to the ornamental Au alloy of K 12 - K 22 (50-92wt.% Au) consisting essentially of Au and compounding 3-35wt.% Ag and 3-40wt.% Cu. One or more kinds among 0.01-1wt.% Fe, Cr and Co are furthermore added to said compounded components. The occlusion of gas in a molten metal is reduced and the structure of said alloy after sintering can be fined by the addition of Ge. The characteristics of Ge can be furthermore promoted by the addition of Fe, Cr and Co.
