PURPOSE:To form a small angle incline or a curved surface on a workpiece in a highly accurate manner, by housing a work head, setting up the workpiece in one end and a tilting control device to the other end, respectively, elastically in a carrier, and constituting the carrier to do linear-reciprocating motion on an abrasive surface plate. CONSTITUTION:An elastic member 24 is set up in space between a carrier 18 and a metal material 26, and furthermore a void part 25 is installed between the metal material 26 and a work head 20. A workpiece 22 is clamped to one end of a lower surface of the work head 20 by adhesion or the like, and an adjusting screw 28 for forming an incline is set up in the other end. When a small angle incline is formed in the workpiece 22, a difference is set up between thickness L1 of the workpiece 22 and projecting quantity L2 of this adjusting screw 28, the work head 20 is housed in the carrier 18, and an inclined plane with the specified angle is formed in the workpiece 22 by free abrasive grains or fixed abrasive grains. The void part between the carrier 18 and the work head 20 is installed for making the workpiece 22 contact with an abrasive surface plate 16 of a lapping machine accurately. |
