PURPOSE:To prevent a sodium sensitive electrode from being affected by lipophilic anion by dispersing a specific amt. of sodium ion sensitive bis(1,2- crown-4), plasticizer, etc., in PVC. CONSTITUTION:A sensitive film 1 is constituted by dispersing 1-15wt.% the sensitive material bis(1,2-crown-4) expressed by the formula, 50-70wt.% plasticizer having <=10 dielectric constant and sodium tetraphenyl borate which is an additive at 2-50% of the sensitive material to 20-40wt.% PVC which is a high polymer. The sensitive film 1, a silver/silver chloride electrode 2 and an internal liquid 3 are disposed to an electrode cylinder 4 to constitute the sodium ion selective electrode. Since the specific amts. of the respective components are dispersed in the sensitive film, the influence by the lipophilic anion is eliminated and the life of the electrode is extended. Measurement of the sodium ion concn. with high accuracy is thus permitted. |
