PURPOSE:To prevent non-image areas between plural image areas from being recorded as solid areas by controlling a recording area so that said non-image areas are not recorded on a recording medium if detecting means detect plural image areas. CONSTITUTION:With respect to an information recorder where image areas of an information recording medium 4 are detected by detecting means S1-Sn and the recording area is controlled, based on detected image areas, the recording area is so controlled that non-image areas between plural image areas are not recorded on the recording medium if detecting means S1-Sn detect plural image areas. Thus, non-image areas between plural image areas are not recorded as solid areas but are erased. As the result, the toner consumption is considerably reduced and recorded pictures superior in beauty are obtained. |
