PURPOSE:To confine a large amount of gas, which develops during foaming, in an enclosed atmosphere so as to prevent the gas from escaping in the atmosphere by a method wherein polyurethane stock liquid is discharged in the enclosed atmosphere, which is isolated from the atmosphere, so as to complete foaming in said atmosphere. CONSTITUTION:When the continuous manufacture of a cylindrical polyurethane foam is intended, a pipe 12 is mounted to a tube 14 by inserting the pipe 12 and a tube hanging stand 13 in one end opening of the tube 14, one end of which is open the other end is closed and which is made of a flexible cylindrical polyethylene tube having the thickness of about 0.05 mm and being folded under the axially compresses state. Next, polyurethane foam stock liquid 10 is continuously discharged from the opening 12a of the pipe 12 under the state that air is prevented from entering the tube 12. At the same time, a conveyer 1 is allowed to run. As a result, the tube 14 is let out in order so that the part of the tube 14, from which the foam stock liquid 10 is discharged is moved integrally with the conveyer 1, resulting in forming a cylindrical polyurethane foam 11 on the tube 14 after the cream time X.
