PURPOSE:To satisfactorily generate a video signal which reproduce an image of high quality and high resolution, by providing a means which decomposes an optical image into two or more optical images, a means which forms optical images on individual areas, and a means which reprojects optical image information corresponding to formed optical images to a reversible recording member with light to record an optical information signal. CONSTITUTION:An object O, an image pickup lens 1, an optical shutter 2, and a color separation system CSS are provided, and this color separation system CSS has a function to decompose the optical image of the object passing the image pickup lens 1 into two or more optical images different in wavelength area. That is, the optical image of the object passing the image pickup lens is decomposed into two or more optical images different in wavelength area by the color separation system CSS, and two or more decomposed optical images are formed on individual areas of one photo-photo conversion element 3. Thus, the reproduced image of high quality and high resolution is easily obtained.
