PURPOSE:To display whether or not new operation can be performed without any feeling of displeasure by erasing a cursor display during processing and displaying a cursor when the processing is not performed. CONSTITUTION:When a command circle 5 is inputted on a keyboard KB and an execution key is pressed, cursor display control which is performed by a controller CRT according to data from a cursor register CR is quitted, the cursor is erased, and a message indicating an in-process state is displayed. Namely, the message is displayed in the message display area in the CRT screen and the hair cursor display in the graphic display area is erased. Then when a drawing process for a circle with a radius 5 is finished, the message in the message display area which indicates the inprocess state is erased and the hair cursor is displayed in the graphic display area to indicate that next operation can be performed newly. The cursor is displayed as mentioned above to give a user a natural feeling.
