PURPOSE:To immobilize the nucleus and the cytoplasm of a cell in a better form and maintain the form for a substantial period, by forming this liquid from a buffer solution which contains ethylalcohol, salt and either cane sugar or propyrene glycol. CONSTITUTION:This liquid is formed from a buffer solution which contains ethylalcohol, salt and either cane sugar or propyrene glycol. The concentration of ethylalcohol is 30-40%, that of salt 0.8-0.9%, that of cane sugar 2% and that of propyrene glycol 1.5-2%. The buffer solution herein used is a phosphate buffer solution with the concentration of phosphate set at 0.01mol. In such a manner, the nucleus and the cytoplasma of a cell can be immobilized in a better form and the form can be maintained for a substantial period. Moreover, methyl cysteine is contained in the buffer solution as mucilage dissolving agent, thereby enabling the immobilization and the preservation of cells with a better dissolution of the mucilage.
