PURPOSE:To increase a speed of the pickling line by installing respective tension bridles on the inlet and outlet sides of a skin-pass mill and also installing a tension leveler having small dia. work rolls capable of adjusting intermesh amounts. CONSTITUTION:A tension bridle 6a is installed at the inlet side of a skin-pass mill 1 and a tension leveler 10 and an outlet side bridle 6b are installed on the outlet side of the mill 1. Small dia. work rolls 11a, 11b are installed in shifted positions to each other on the leveler 10 and adjusts an intermesh amount of a steel strip 7 through a lifting device 18. Further, a deflector roll 22 is installed freely rotatably in the latter part of the leveler 10 and a work roll 23 is oppositely installed to be capable of adjusting intermeshes amounts. A speed of the pickling line is increased because descaling effect and shape straightening effect of the strip 7 are improved by that mechanism.
