PURPOSE:To well perform continuous photographing and reduce the power consumption of a still video back by providing a means which keeps a motor in the operating state for a certain time when a signal indicating that photographing is performed is given from a camera body at the time of operating the motor. CONSTITUTION:When the photometric switch of a camera body 1 is turned on, a prescribed signal is sent to a still video back 2 and the power source is turned on to rotate a motor 28. The prescribed signal is repeatedly given to continuously rotate the motor 28 while the photometric switch is turned on. If a release switch is not turned on and the prescribed signal disappears in this state, the power source of the still video back 2 is turned off and the motor 28 is stopped because there is little probability that photographing is immediately performed. If the release switch is turned on to perform one photographing while the motor is rotated, the power source of the still video back 2 is not turned off independently of presence/absence of the prescribed signal to keep the motor 28 in the operating state for a certain time because there is a high probability of continuous photographing.
